The Dutch Weave is produced by the use of coarse mesh (mesh wire, woven wire mesh, wire mesh basket) in the warp and a fine mesh with relatively smaller wire in the fill. This weave results in greater strength with very fine openings and is primarily used as a filter cloth. The shape and position of the openings aid particle retention and increase filter cake formation.

(1).  Plain Dutch Weave: woven as a plain weave. Each warp wire and each weft wire passes over and under the next adjacent complementary wire, as in normal Plain Weave, except the warp wires are larger in diameter than the weft wires. This allows a greater mesh count in the weft direction.
Characteristics:” zero”—aperture, more solid than square or rectangular mesh, relative high open area, suitable for all kinds of filtration.

Dutch Plain Woven Wire Cloth has a coarser mesh and wire in the warp direction and a finer mesh and wire in the weft direction. Dutch Plain Woven Wire Cloth makes an ideal filter cloth with a very compact, firm mesh with great strength.

(2).  The Twill Dutch Weave is produced by a combination of the features of the Dutch Weave and the Twilled Weave. Fill wires are passed alternately over and under two warp wires forming fine mesh in one direction and coarse mesh (mesh wire, woven wire mesh, wire mesh basket) in the other. This type of weave is capable of supporting greater loads than the Dutch Weave, with finer openings than the Twilled Weave. It is used in applications where the filtering of heavy material is necessary. 

Dutch twilled weave: Each warp wire and each weft wire passes over and under the next two adjacent complementary wires, as in a normal Twill Weave, except the warp wires are larger in diameter than the weft wires. This allows a greater mesh count in the weft direction. This weave pattern enables the weft wires to be woven more densely, and much smaller aperture sizes can be achieved without forsaking cloth thickness.
Characteristics: ”zero” aperture, light-proof woven, high resistance due to tight wire position, extreme low absolute grade of fineness(down to 5-6μm),high filtration performance in case of low viscose medium, it is the finest filtration in hydraulic systems, especially for critical applications as aero-space, fuel-and combustion.
